There is an additional problem with dithering. Obama has presented an undependable US willingness to support freedom causes and the al Queda/Taliban push to destroy the Afghan election is encouraged by an American president who conveys the image of a coward to the extremists. The left encouraged extremist recruitment with constant Abu Ghraib pictures and discussions. The recruitment power of that pales in comparison to their portrayal of Obama wanting to run like we did in Mogadishu. Bin Laden said that they were dug in for the long haul and American left. Dithering reinforces the image of the gutless America which the Democrats promote.
The Democrats are RESPONSIBLE and they should admit their cowardice and leave or suck it up, close their eyes and let the military succeed. Paying the price in military lives IS A CRIME WHICH SHOULD BE PROSECUTED! 2010 will be partly a verdict in one of the trials. There was once a great stateman who said, "PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH" because he understood that evil does not care about good; only about winning and controlling. History has proved that to think otherwise is delusional and ends loss.
“The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.” -- Samuel Adams
“Whoever you are, you who are hearing me now, I am speaking to whatever living remnant is left uncorrupted within you, to the remnant of the human, to your mind, and I say: There is a morality of reason, a morality proper to man, and Man’s Life is its standard of value.” -- Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand
"No man is entitled to the blessings of freedom unless he be vigilant in its preservation." -- Douglas MacArthur
