The Alternate Universe - Should we apologize to the British?
I posted the following BLOG in the Telegraph in Britain after reading a British writer's response to Robert Gibbs berating the English press in the following article in the Telegraph

regarding the leaders of France and the US celebrating the D Day anniversary without inviting the Queen of England.

A lot of Americans are appalled by our president's attitude toward our British bretheran. While we started out contentiously, we have been side by side through incredible tests of our relationship and, until now, maintained a strong bond in our mission to maintain as safe a world as we could.
I would hope that the Queen hears from the little people of America who love and respect her and the country which she represents. Please do not take the current administration which a lot of us fear will ruin our country as the totallity of American attitude toward our British allies.
Winston Churchill is often quoted as saying that they that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it and there is a lot of evidence that the power grabbing administration is tracking old and previously failed ground. A Russian immigrant to America in the 20s, Ayan Rand, wrote Atlas Shrugged and the Fountainhead which could have easily been written during our times. It is fiction, but very accurately describes the LaLaLander mentality of the Do Gooders who feel and talk like they are important while they hinder the Doers who create the good in the world.
Daniel Hannan MEP has been able to put in words what a lot of our people feared when Obama was campaigning. We are now seeing it happen. The delusional concept that a power grabbing government will more effectively run an enterprise than a make a profit or die private company challenges human nature programming. The fittest survive weeds out the weak and if our auto companies have been unrealistic in their negotiations between the workers and managment, the previous quality issues and management's poor decision making, they must adjust or go out of business. Their problems were exacerbated by the government's imposition of regulations without consideration of the NON PR consequences.
The government has villified the secured creditors which represent people's investments and pension plans in order to intimidate them into accepting a huge discount. This is contrary to our business law giving priority to lenders so that a lender may judge their risk and make investments under more predictable conditions which encourages investment in business by professional investors and the little people. This intimidation replaces our original system with a "let's pretend that we are not a third world country where your investments are in jeopardy at the whim of the administration." system which tells investors you better HOPE that your original investment analysis is not CHANGED by the administration needing to pay back the unions that helped buy his power.
The unions are not the only ones to benefit from the chaos which has occured. George Soros who supports CAP, the Democrat couterpart to the conservative Heritage Foundation

and has said that he has had a very good crisis, has made billions of dollars because he foresaw the downturn

It would raise the question, "Why wouldn't our governments warn us of the impending crisis and try to avoid or diminish its severity if people like Soros could confidently bet on it and be right. America had a Democratic majority with the house run by the infamous Pelosi who said, when she became the Speaker of the House, "Now that we Democrats control congress, watch what we can do." Congress creates the budgets and the president proposes and approves them. It was a totally bipartisan effort to put America in the position which we are in.
We are also hearing Double Speak as described in George Orwell's 1984 where the meaning of words is different than what they now mean. Orwell was a little early in the 1984 bit. The current administration studied books like Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinski and listened to their hero terrorist, William Ayers who was acuitted on a technicality and said Guilty as Hell, free as a bird, ain't America great? The American LaLaLanders dwell in an alternate universe telling those of us who dwell in the real world, "Just listen to him." Our problem is that we not only listen to Obama, but we analyze and check what he tells us against what he does. It is terrifying. Obamanomics penalizes success and rewards failure as evidenced by banks and automobile manufactures.

Thanking you British citizens in advance for your understanding.
