WE OWE THOSE WHO INHERIT THIS COUNTRY AN EXPLANATION

I am in the process with my website at

http://factsforreality.net/index.html

H.R. 450 - SHOULD CONGRESS CARE ABOUT THE CONSTITUTION

In my attempt to not be a mooreonic WIIer, I wrote my representative, Dana Roherbacher, who was my choice during the last election and asked him why he was not a cosponsor of H.R. 450. On the surface, it looks like a great idea, especially in light of our current situation, but I wanted to have his viewpoint prior to getting excited about it.

A facebook site supports the bill and has links to read it and to support it

Because there is a campaign to incite the Politicall Correct Gullible Crusaders with morphed meanings of words and out of context information or outright lies and because we were warned by one of America's founders, Samuel Adams, “How strangely will the Tools of a Tyrant pervert the plain Meaning of Words!”, I propose the following definitions to describe our nation's most dangerous enemy.

Definitions which have no relationship to party, belief system - only describing an intellectual deficiency and an unwillingness to challenge what they want to believe respectively:

MOOREON refers to an intellectual (thought and reason ability - not intelligence) deficiency and has nothing to do with ideology and beliefs. It rather has to do with an inability to determine whether something is true or false. Mooreon, a definition proposed on factsforreality.net, refers to a person who can see information challenging their beliefs, but does not have the intellectual capacity to process it and challenge that which supports the position that they choose even if their position is based on an illusion rather than what is real.

WIIer is a WILLFULLY IGNORANT INTELLECTUAL
Those who will keep to a narrow information channel which feeds them information, accurate and complete or not, to substantiate their desired point of view. A WIIer has the intellectual (thought and reason - not intelligence) ability, but is consciously unwilling to look at information which may challenge their desired point of view. A lot of us are going to online versions of foreign newspapers to find out what is happening in our country as well as other online sources. This definition applies to all humans who fit the three sheeple category described below. The three sheeple:
hear no other point of view
see no other point of view
discuss no other point of view

I would suggest to anyone upset with the two definitions that you take some time for introspection because, in my opinion, you are dangerous to yourself , others and our country.

MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN RIGHT CANDIDATE, BUT MESSAGE AT END OF VIDEO CLIP IS RIGHT

AMERICAN PRESIDENTS AND THEIR ADMINISTRATION'S IMPACT ON MUSLIM COUNTRIES

I realize that it is easier to sit on the sidelines after the game has been played, but this is our history and I wish that we could learn from it rather than play to support our team, regardless of how wrong that they are in a given situation. America is a very unique country and, in some cases, we are no longer providing the example to the world. Rather than play to our strong suit, we are heading into a transnational country which discards what made us great so that we can be more like the countries who used to admire what we had achieved regardless of whether they liked us or not.

Jimmy Carter undermined Iranians and Muslims lost freedom to Khomeni. Now, in 2009, they are being attacked for wanting more freedom and looking to theUS for support. It is complex, and once you have stood by and watched a country fall into the hands of a tyrannical regime, there is no easy way back. The decisions made during the Carter administration are being paid for with the blood and tears of the current generation. Maybe we should apologize for this genuine abandonment of the Iranian people.
To make matters worse, Carter supports HAMAS as a victim, ignoring the fact that they create a wasteland in the same area that Israel creates an envied oasis of thought and prosperity. Each gets what they go after and Carter is either still very naive or he has a motive which is not obvious to me. Might have something to do with thePalestinian phonebanks supporting the Obama campaign.

Ronald Reagan retreated from Lebanon

George Bush freed Kuwait after Iraqi invaision
allowed the Shiite to have the impression that the US would back them and, when they rose up, stood by while they were slaughtered. Another genuine apology moment and a missed opportunity.

Bill Clinton Bosnia defending the Muslims from genocide
Created a change of regime policy for Iraq

George W. Bush freed people of Afghanistan and Iraq and stood firm on his mission to help give them the opportunity to provide themselves with a democratic government in the face of incredible odds because he was attacked by Al Qaeda using Iraq as a recruiting ground for new Jihadists and the American government shouting that the people would not be able to create and democracy or vote, the American army was broken and all kinds of political antics. It was a good thing that he was not a poll driven politician or American would have proved Osama bin Laden's observation that Americans do not have the will to fight as correct.
Libya gave up WMDs and the Lockerbye hijackers during the Bush administration, but that is not something that plays well and I doubt the WIIers even know it.

Barack Obama Let us HOPE for CHANGE

The written message at the end of the video linked below after the soldier's testimonial about what Americans should not apologize for is still right on

DR THOMAS SEWELL ASSIGNS 90% OF HOUSING CRISIS TO BIPARTISAN ACTION

Thomas Sewell points out that the Canadian banks are in good shape because:

1. They are restricted on borrowing

2. They are not pushed to lend to unqualified borrower as the United States has mandated

Why would our country want to disregard the Canadian model for banking which works, but emulate the Canadian model for healthcare which has had Canadian doctors emigrating to the US for years? Does it take a genius to think that someone who goes through the challenge of becoming a doctor wants to be told how to run their business by the government and spend an inordinate amount of their time reporting to the government? Why do you think that some doctors do not accept medicare?

Our government disregards the fact that not as many people will want to work hard and dedicate a fair portion of their life to become a doctor under government health care, but the number of people on the system will increase. How that can give as good of a healthcare system as we now have is baffling. Are our legislators who come up with these ideas on hallucinigenics???

If the legislators truly cared about healthcare costs, we would see them looking at mal practice lawsuits by their bretheran which drives up the insurance costs for all doctors. Not doing anything to make this area more fair, adversely affects everyone, but allows the parasites (this does not refer to legitimate lawsuits by ethical attorneys) to increase the cost and availability for a large number of people.

WHY ARE WE IN THIS FINANCIAL DISASTER - SHOULD WE READ AYN RAND???

1. Two very different points of view relative to Ayn Rand and a Phil Donahue interview with Ayn Rand during the Carter administration
2. Tom McClintock who had warned California for years offers some ideas
3. How much of our problems are our legislators creating???

Stephan Colbert had one point of view

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-tIY99QFFk&NR=1

Atlas Shrugged and the Tea Party Revolts had a different point of view

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tNheAEHprI

Phil Donahue interviewing Ayn Rand during the Carter administration and discussing her views including President Carter

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzGFytGBDN8

Ayn Rand said, "Morality is the judgement to distinguish right and wrong, vision to see the truth, courage to act upon it, dedication to that which is good, integrity to stand by the good at any price."

I believe that pure capitalism doesn't work because the greedy human capitalist will enslave the workers. Unions were formed by humans for good purpose and they quickly became drunk on power and greed. We need a mix which keeps the union/politician alliance from putting borrowed money which our country does not have into companies, bankrupting the company, shoving aside secured creditors and sharing the spoils with their union joint venture partner who funded and backed their elections and then competing with a successful private company who has to survive against the playmoney backed government companies. The voters need to extract their craniums from their anuses and look at what is happening and insure that free enterprise will produce products and provide services. We cannot take care of others if we do not take care of ourselves. LaLaLand will be destroyed if we start to believe that the government which does not create wealth because it is OVERHEAD EXPENSE can provide employment for everyone.
Tom McClintock warned us several years ago that this would happen in California and now we are teetering on bankruptcy and furlowing public employees. He wrote about tough love for California which includes, "Today, California faces a paradox: despite record levels of spending and borrowing, it can no longer produce a decent road system, educate its children, or lock up its prisoners. Those who blame the recession for California’s budget crisis profoundly misunderstand the nature of that crisis. Even before California’s revenue began to shrink, the state government was running a chronic $10 billion deficit and piling up unprecedented debt. The recession is merely the catalyst; the underlying cause is rampant mismanagement of the state’s resources. California spends $43,000 to house a prisoner while many states spend just half that. California spends over $11,000 per pupil, but only a fraction of that ever reaches the classroom. California has one of the most expensive welfare systems in the country and yet one of the worst records of moving people off welfare. "

http://mcclintock.house.gov/2009/06/tough-love-for-california.shtml

DENIAL WORKS ONLY UNTIL YOU RUN OUT OF TIME TO DENY AND REALITY CRASHES DOWN UPON YOU.

This is nothing new. Margaret Thatcher pointed out that socialism works until you run out of other people's money and that might be why China is expanding with zero capital gains tax and going to short term US debt and they broke into laughter when Tim Geightner spoke to a group of Chinese about America being in good shape.

Ayn Rand also said, "Devotion to the truth is the hallmark of morality; there is no greater nobler, more heroic form of devotion than the act of a man who assumes the responsibility of thinking." as well as, "I am, therefore I'll think."

DOING MORE OF WHAT DOESN'T WORK DOESN''T WORK. NON OF US ARE SURE OF WHAT IS, BUT IN MY THINKING, OUR CURRENT GOVERNMENT IS BUILDING A POWERFUL STRUCTURE INSTEAD OF REPRESENTING THE PEOPLE OF OUR COUNTRY.

Just one example is Thirty Billion Dollars to Chrysler to "keep it from going bankrupt" which is approximately $7,000,000.00 per employee if they have 40,000 employees. Would there seem to be a better way or was this a plan which had a different purpose? I acknowledge the ripple effect and cities in need of employment, but this would more than bail out the entire state of Califonia. Maybe we should get some people capable of good business decisions instead of the best politicians money can buy. That is why no major investigation of FannieMae/FreddieMac is going on - it would end up shining light on Barney Frank, Maxine Waters and that group being irate a few years ago when John McCain was pushing a bill for more regulation. The WIIers don't look at the real world and try to get our country back on track. They would rather be spoon fed what they feel good believing. Reality is harsh. The politicians are like a person passing gas and pointing to Wallstreet. They will crucify Enron or Bernie Madoff and then ignore the country's financial problems until a major crash which makes Enron look like pocket change and helps bring the world economy into crisis. The WIIers continue to sing "All is well in LaLaLand" kind of like Ceasar fiddling around until reality crashed in upon him.

My term WIIer = Willfully Ignorant Intellectuals refers to the good, intelligent people whom I respect, but do not understand. I am reading articles from foreign papers and looking at sites which challenge my beliefs, but a lot of the liberals I discuss the Fannie/Mae-FreddieMac debacle and ACORN turn off and don't want to hear what might challenge their desired belief. Dennis Prager in an interview with Justice Thomas pointed out that conservatives think that liberals are good people who are misguided and liberals think that conservatives are bad people. This would explain how a lot of the media presentations are targeted at each group of recipients. The more emotional a persons response (including mine in several cases), the more the person should test their views. It could be that the premise is faulty and not the other side's logic that upsets us.

DO YOU HAVE ANY COMMON SENSE - I DECIDED TO CHECK IT OUT AND SEE IF I COULD LEARN SOMETHING OR CHANGE THE WAY IN WHCIH I VIEW SOMETHING

Glenn,
I just joined Books A Million because of you. I wanted to do something toward showing that not all Americans are WIIers = Willfully Ignorant Intellectuals who want to only plug their brain into the programming channel at the exclusion of other sources so that they can know what they believe without working to determine what is happening in the real world. I purchased two Common Sense paperbacks to give out and a Common Sense CD for me because I have eye issues which make it a little bit challenging to read. I wanted the government to see that this book is selling very well and the sleeping voters are awakening.
It will be little consolation for me to be able to tell the LaLaLanders, "We warned you that it was happening, but you wouldn't get out of denial." after the fact. Just as Margaret Thatcher pointed out that Socialism works well until you run out of other peoples money, denial works well until you run out of the ability to deny and reality strikes.
Thank you very much for giving us the information and a channel to wake up the United States before Ayan Rand's DESTROYER succeeds.

DO WE HAVE A SPONTANEOUS CREATION OF MONEY SOURCE

I took a metal shop class in the 8th grade which was the beginning of my love affair with the electrical/electronics world. Being young and not yet knowledgeable of the losses in a system, I came home one day and told my father of a brilliant idea which I had, knowing that I had. I would put a generator on a boat with a paddle wheel driving the generator to power the electrical motor propelling the boat. My bubble burst when my father, who was far from technically bright, pointed out that there would be losses which would keep the system from working. The government has some losses built into it at best. It is far more effective to control and distribute the money locally than to send it to Washington DC and have the federal government send what they feel like sending back out of what is left for expenses and payoffs. Apathy and denial work like Margaret Thatcher's description of socialism as a good system until you run out of other people's money. They only work until you run out of the ability to avoid reality.

I look at the government which we have chosen in California and New York, two great economies verses Louisiana under their new governor. The system in California (Tom McClintock warned us for years about pending doom - not enough people cared and paid attention) and New York strikes me as analogous to my perpetual motion transportation idea. A bright, good friend of mine told me, in response to my pointing out the California economy as a demonstration of an incredible opportunity put in the toilet by its government, that California is in trouble because property values have gone down and there is not enough income to support the programs. My several attempts to point out that Intel is moving its plants out of state as have several other businesses including a lot of the movie production were diverted to other topics.

I have finally realized why I have so many intelligent liberal relationships who look at the world differently than I do and I do realize that one of us is right and the other is wrong. I do not hold myself out as the expert - only the inquisitive one who wants to test my ideas of what is happening It seems to me that America's future is threatened by the WIIers

WILLFULLY IGNORANT INTELLECTUALS

Those who will keep to a narrow information channel which feeds them information, accurate and complete or not, to substantiate their desired point of view. A lot of us are going to online versions of foreign newspapers to find out what is happening in our country as well as other online sources.

MY VERY SINCERE QUESTIONS WHICH I WOULD LIKE A LOGICAL NONEMOTIONAL, PREFERRABLY WITH A REFERENCE TO WHERE THIS IDEOLOGY HAS WORKED ANSWER TO IS:

1. Do you sincerely believe that you can do things which make you feel good at other people’s expense without destroying the system?

2. What is the optimum government control and spending for the good of the people of our country and then the world after we have taken care of us so that we may continue to exist to do good? Why would we trail the European Union trend of government spending decreasing from 48% to 47% of GDP over the last 10 years? Ours has increased from 34% to 40% over the same period. I understand the benefits to the people, but wonder if it is sustainable. The entire world is currently testing the individual country systems as well as the economic alliances as well as the world system. I am a hippy capitalist and I have hurt my ability to do good by being unrealistic in my past endeavors. My question comes after learning that lesson, not from what I hope is true, but from what is true.

The “Stimulus Bill?” which had to be put through on a Friday night without time to read it and transferred from electronic to hardcopy for distribution making it inefficient to search for key phrases took away:
1. Tax write offs for charitable contributions which have been a big source of private citizens taking care of each other. There is a study which shows that liberals give less money charitably than conservatives and that is possibly because they want to have the government do it by taking from the higher income earners, charge for administering the programs by a government bureaucracy and distribute to the needy rather than the competing charities with the corrupt ones being discarded by the people who donate.
2. Small business incentives which will hinder the major producer of private sector jobs
3. the school program in Washington DC which allowed some poor kids to go to better schools. This was a savings as well as competition for the public school teachers. Supporting the teacher’s union instead of giving a choice between competing private schools and the public schools allows a “lack of excellence culture” to indoctrinate our children in mediocrity. The low income people are the most adversely affected by the denial of a voucher program for them to choose who can best educate their children. The campaign contributors gain at the children’s expense just as the automotive unions gain at the worker’s expense when it is economically impractical to build the cars which the government mandates through their requirements.

Do we really want a Civilian Defense Corps? I listened to Obama’s speech to the troops and felt good until I heard his sentence about creating a civilian defense corps which will relieve the burden off of the military. I saw a YouTube clip of his speech regarding the equally well armed and trained civilian defense corps. There was another YouTube production which flashed back and forth between Obama’s speech and another very persuasive salesman’s speech as his corp marched by.

I am glad that the new government is so ambitious and confident because we have seen the campaigner go from criticizing Bush on his $500,000,000,000 budget deficit to taking us into another era. Bush made the Democrats look conservative, but Obama has proved that they are still better than Republicans. They have remained the representative of the downtrodden while beginning the let no expense be spared party era. They have brought in the Beverly Hills decorator which they chastised the CEO of a wall street firm from using to do the Whitehouse. Their vetting process has once again proved that they are superior to the Republicans who ineptly without proper vetting chose Sarah Palin in their choice of Geightener for Secretary of the Treasury and head of the IRS in spite of the fact that he failed to pay his income tax, Daschle for Secretary of Health and Human Services in spite of the fact that his wife is lobby level and he failed to pay his income tax, Bill Richardson for Secretary of Commerce in spite of the fact that he is under indictment and a few others. Joe the Plumber got more press for a $1,000.00 tax not paid problem than the smart enough to run our government people who probably evaded taxes. Obama states, “Not because I believe in government. I don’t” as he takes our nation further into debt with a program which increases the size and cost of government. He tells us that these are timely, targeted and temporary programs as he increases the budgets of government bureacracies. We all laugh at the absurdity of a
temporary government program, but does it hit us in the head with a 2x4 that this is a dangerous direction without a stimulus effect?

The above reminds me of the difference between rape and making love. Salesmanship. While I told one of my daughters that I would cease to use this explanation of how people get sold on things, I cannot resist how loudly it screams at me for an explanation of what I see. People who were so committed and told me that, “You must listen to him.” will resist seeing what is happening, but like the frogs in a pot brought too quickly to a boil, I hope that they realize what is being done to our country in time to change the course and defeat our new Crusade Of Liberal Demogogary war enemy of our American system which penalizes the productive and rewards failure.

HOW DO WE GET ANY CONCEPT OF THE AMOUNT OF MONEY WE ARE SPENDING?

This will be a dynamic post - I amlooking for updates

I have put the numbers in a more easy to, but still mind boggling, get a grasp on the magnitude of the financial numbers we hear. It is appropriate to look at percentages of GDP and other relationships to objectively analyze these numbers, but the magnitude is also very important.
The graph to the right is from z-facts at

http://zfacts.com/p/318.html

We get the government we deserve and those of us who want to keep the America we think is best for the people must earn a better government by helping to educate the rest of the voters who are [vote for my team] people instead of [vote for my country] people. I am a techinical, not a financial person and I want to put together a way to analyze what is real so that we can all help eachother do better by our country. It scares me to see the Russian newspaper commenting on the incredibly quick descent of the US into Marxism in spite of what the Russians learned when they had it.

A BILLION DOLLARS is $1,000,000,000,000.00 which is ONE MILLION, MILLION DOLLARS and assuming a 300 million population of men, women and children = 300,000,000 it would represent

$3,333.33 per man, woman and child in the US population.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Stimulus Package) passed in February of 2009 was for $789 billion dollars which is

$2,623,333.33 per man, woman and child in the United States.

and this does not include the previous, 2008 bailout nor any post inaugeration programs.

The $7 billion dollars in the first part of the Chrysler bailout for 40,000 employees is

$175,000,000.00 per employee

There is a ripple affect which feeds other people, but this is a large enough number that it should be obvious that to give this kind of money to a company and then put it into bankruptcy so that the union and the government can take it over screams so loud about the smoke and mirrors game that even a high single digit IQ shold be able to see some potential issues in the judgement.

The TARP = Troubled Asset Relief Program - Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 was for $500 billion dollars and the distribution and explanation of the program at

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TARP is

$1,666,666.67 per man, woman and child

I would like to remind the mooreons who accused the Republican opposition to the first, defeated, TARP proposal as a tantrum against Pelosi that it appears that there were conservatives who believed this kind of move to be detrimental to the purpose of stabilization in the long run. That is why it was defeated in spite of the fact that Bush with the Democrat majority did not need those Republicans. It might feel good to live in LaLaLand, but Reality is headed our way. Pelosi and her crew knew that they didn't want the credit for that bad of a move.

Our national debt verses GDP for the last 5 years which shows performance prior to Nancy Pelosi proclaiming, "Now that we control congress, watch what we can do.", after the Peolosi Proclamation and post George W. Bush to date.

I STILL NEED TO GET THESE NUMBERS

We have the WIIs making decisions on who runs our country based on emotions instead of logic and reason. WII = willfully ignorant intellectuals

IS HOLLYWOOD CREATING OUR REALITY?

The US AAA rating in the financial world is threatened because of how we are dealing with our bailout and we pretend that people like Robert Prechter do not exist while the government continues on the road which some people see as creating a worse situation. Reuters warns that this credit rating downgrade is coming

http://www.reuters.com/article/InvestmentOutlook09/idUSTRE55E6BM20090615

Does government acquisition of banks and private car companies which are in competition with privately held and run banks and car companies enhance or diminsish our chances of improving the national economy and productivity? What is the effect of government competition with private enterprise where one of them has to perform and borrow funds in a marketplace which judges them on performance verses another run by people who are predominately politicians with no real business experience and ability as evidenced by their performance and who have access to what they appear to perceive as an infinite source of funds. They want us to get behind political parties and fight eachother over whose team is right so that we do not see the real problem. While we are scrapping with eachother, the power grabbers are taking over.

If there was a true desire to provide healthcare reform, we would see lawyer politicians looking into limiting their brethern's employment opportunity acts by looking at lawsuits for medical malpractice which hinder doctors practicing medicine because a certain class of the politicians bretheren are sitting in the trees looking for easy pickings.

The same would be true of the legal extortion in development cases where lawsuits are filed blocking developments and the developer can settle in a manner which is legal extortion. This hinders employment and development for the benefit of the vulture class of the politician's bretheren.

Look at their actions rather than listen to their lullabys. A prime example is Obama breaking the 30 day notice requirement in a bill which he sponsored as a senator to get rid of an inspector general who was going to expose some things which would be detrimental to the transparent illusion fed to the Moorons regarding Americore. An organization with a good purpose can go very bad with the wrong people. We have seen that in some great American charitable organizations in the past.

The big bailout bill was the same story. We were told that we would have transparancy and 48 hours to review legislation. I, along with several legislators must have blinked for a long time. I guess that that is no big thing because the rest of them didn't bother to read most of it anyway.

PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT IS AS MUCH AS YOU PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT IS SAID BECAUSE THE REST OF THE WORLD IS AND WE ARE MAKING THEM NERVOUS

Breitbart reported on June 17, 2009, "Leaders of the so-called BRIC nations -- Brazil, Russia, India and China -- had on Monday called for a "more diversified" currency system. "The BRIC leaders are divided between supporting the US dollar -- as it is the only choice for now -- and advancing the march for an alternative," said Phil McHugh, who heads the corporate foreign exchange desk at currenciesdirect.com."

CAN THE GOVERNMENT OUTPERFORM PRIVATE ENTERPRISE

The government gave General Motors and Chrysler billions of dollars from the taxpayers and then structured a bankruptcy with the government and the union picking up the majority of the tax money infused companies with Obama talking against the three pension fund secured investors to push them into a larger discount. There were three large junior, tarp recipient institutional investors who took discounts, but there is a question as to how the tarp money interaction might play.

The remaining American car manufacturer, Ford, did not receive taxpayer funds and will be competing with General Motors and Chrysler whose major shareholders are the government and the UAW which was a major backer of Obama's presidential campaign.

Is the above competition going to jeopardize American automotive manufacturers and clear the way for the foreign manufacturers with manufacturing in right to work states with lower overhead to take over a larger market share in America.

The school teachers have a similar situation. There was a charter school with very good results in a Washington DC whose grant was eliminated. Why is there such opposition to competition from private schools using the voucher system? The best education per dollar woulld make it very obvious which system is most effective and both systems could continue if they performed similarly. Am I wrong in concluding that the teacher's unions support the politicians who prevent private competition to maintain their members positions and maximize the benefits at the cost of what competition from the private sector would do to benefit the students?

If we were to implement government health care reform, what would it accomplish? I have met several Canadian doctors who moved here from Canada to practice. In July of 2008, I spoke with an English lady whose doctor father and nurse mother in Britain retired four years early to get away from the British medical system. How many of our young people will think that the work and sacrifice to become a doctor is worth paying to be at risk of being limited or controlled by the government? Do we think that good private insurance programs which must make a profit will survive competition with a government run program that can survive without breaking even?

I would have to see something well beyond my imagination to not think that the DESTROYER described in Atlas Shrugged by Ayan Rand is not running our country if they keep putting taxpayer funded/government controlled endeavors in competition with private enterprise. Even a mooreon should be able to see this.

I would be eternally greatful if someone could show me where this has worked before. There is an article in PRAVDA in a previous blog stating, " the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed" in spite of the history of their people who found that it does not work. This is not to have a better functioning, more secure country - it is for power and money.

THE POLITICALLY CORRECT GULLIBLE CRUSADERS MANIPULATED BY THE ALINSKY STATEGY WILL DESTROY AMERICA

I am referencing input from five people - 1998, 1920s/1930s, 1787, WWII, 1800s - which describe America's direction today

1998--

Lori Borgman wrote an obituary for Common Sense titled The Death of Common Sense© Lori Borgman Sunday, March 15, 1998 because of the politically correct people destroying America

http://infohost.nmt.edu/~armiller/commonsen.htm

1920s/1930s--

“There is a destroyer loose in the country who is cutting down the buttresses one after another to let the structure collapse upon our heads. Some ruthless creature moved by some inconceivable purpose.” Ayan Rand – Atlas Shrugged written in the 1920s or 1930s describing the progressives using the weapon of morality to sap the producers

1787--

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government."

"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury."

"From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years."

"During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. From bondage to spiritual faith; 2. From spiritual faith to great courage; 3. From courage to liberty; 4. From liberty to abundance; 5. From abundance to complacency; 6. From complacency to apathy; 7. From apathy to dependence; 8. From dependence back into bondage"

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Gore: 19; Bush: 29
Square miles of land won by: Gore: 580,000; Bush: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Gore: 127 million; Bush: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Gore: 13.2; Bush: 2.1

IHAVE NOT CONFIRMED THE FOLLOWING -- Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Bush won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country.

Gore's territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

WORLD WAR II POEM

There is a new importance for a poem describing the perils of apathy and calls to us to be vigilante for an analagous progression

In Germany they first came for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me — and by that time no one was left to speak up.

1800s --

“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.” -- John Adams US diplomat & politician (1735 - 1826)

The John Adams quote preceeding this paragraph screams at me that

IT MATTERS NOT WHETHER I AM A RELIGIOUS PERSON OR NOT, BUT RATHER WHETHER I SUBSCRIBE TO THE GOOD PRINCIPLES OF RELIGION UPON WHICH OUR COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED AS WELL AS THE RIGHT TO LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS . IF I REMAIN APATHETIC AS THE GOVERNMENT TAKES THESE RIGHTS FROM US AND OUR SOCIETY CEASES TO VALUE THE PRINCIPLES UPON WHICH OUR COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED AMERICA WILL SINK INTO MEDIOCRITY AND THE HEIRS TO THIS NATION WILL LOSE THE OPPORTUNITIES GIVEN US BY THE GREAT COUNTRY WHICH WE INHERITED - ROSSABH

INTELLECTUAL ATTITUDE, NOT INTELLECTUAL LIMITATION

Politicaly Correct Gullible Crusaders are the weapon of the DESTROYER

MORON refers to intellectual ability defined in Wikipedia as "Moron" was coined in 1910 by psychologist Henry H. Goddard[3] from the Greek word moros, which meant "dull" (as opposed to "sharp"), and used to describe a person with a mental age located between 8 and 12 on the Binet scale.[4] It was once applied to people with an IQ of 51-70....."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moron_(psychology)

MOOREON refers to an intellectual (thought and reason ability - not intelligence) deficiency and has nothing to do with ideology and beliefs. It rather has to do with an inability to determine whether something is true or false. Mooreon, a definition proposed on factsforreality.net, refers to a person who can see information challenging their beliefs, but does not have the intellectual capacity to process it and challenge that which supports the position that they choose even if their position is based on an illusion rather than what is real.

Look at one of the largest economies in the world, California, which had the dot com and real estate booms plus the ports and Hollywood. The mooreonic majority elected a majority of fiscally incompetent legislators who have grown the government and ignored the cost of denying the cost of illegal immigration to the point of putting the state on the brink of bankruptcy. On the other hand, the Alaska economy whose mixed political party, Palin run government gave money back to the taxpayers which was not from taxes instead of figuring out a bearacracy on which to spend it. She also proposed a plan which would, without tax increases, stimulate the economy, create energy independance and enhance security in her August 2, 2008 speech printed in Imprimis at

MY LOGIC WITH REGARDS TO RELEASING ADDITIONAL PRISONER ABUSE PHOTOS

I agree that al-Qaida which we supported in Afghanistan and the Wahabi Sharia law is the ultimate in control. Evil alliances have been in all country's history with it often ending up a bite me in the butt later in the relationship. The thing which baffles me is:

1. Guantanamo is held up as a recruiting tool for al-Qaida and I don't know of any pictures from there which show abuse

2. There has been instances of pictures and Koran in the toilet being used to show the evil west and probably used for recruitment if the above statement about Guantanamo is true

3. Therefore, releasing more pictures would help al-Qaida recruit which would enhance their ability to prolong or increase the effectiveness of their war against people who like music, free speech and other affronts to Sharia law. Mark Steyn, awhile ago, was interviewed by a Berkely history professor and a Berkely international studies person. A very logical interaction. I was very pleasantly surprised at the very interesting interaction at

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K375rwCgTSs

which points out the demographic shift and the fact that al-Qaida can win without a military victory through the demographic change occuring in the world.

4. For us to diminish the power of recruitment using the pictures, one would need to make assumptions:

a. al-Qaida wants peace, not Sharia law imposed on the world - check bin-Ladens Fatwa in the 90s

b. a group which slices off people's heads, runs drills into a human's head actually wants to let everyone live happily in spite of different beliefs and life styles

That makes as much sense to me as thinking that the Palestinians want peace when their history is that they are committed to the eradication of Israel. They effectively smuggle in weapons and rockets, but not food, medical supplies, educational materials. We can tell what a man is committed to by his actions if we look at them. The best weapon terrorism has against us is our desire to be good people who are seen as good people. The biggest detriment we do to ourselves is act like we know what we are doing and act in a manner which is inconsistent with, "You cannot take care of anyone else if you don't take care of yourself." financally and militarily both here and abroad.

WHY WOULD THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ASSIST AL-QAIDA RECRUITMENT

The House under Nancy Pelosi has stripped the ban on prisoner abuse release photos. Please express yourself to your representative either way. This does have an effect on our military and al-Qaida's campaign. I wrote the following:

Ms Pelosi,
If I were to believe that Guantanamo is a recruiting tool for al-Qaida, what would your deletion of the Lieberman/Graham ban of the release of abuse photos tell me about your goals for al-Qaida.. It seems that these photos would be incredibly valuable to al-Qaida who are very effective propagandists. A lie about the Koran flushed down a toilet and people die. The release of these photos is aid to terrorists.
Where am I wrong in concluding that you are legistlating in a manner that assists al-Qaida recruitment so that they can maintain their terror campaign?

LET SARAH PALIN STIMULATE THE ECONOMY

Check out Sarah Palin's 09/2008
September 2008
Sarah PalinGovernor of Alaska
Alaska’s Promise for the Nation

http://www.hillsdale.edu/news/imprimis/archive/issue.asp?year=2008&month=09

in Imprimis. It dealt with America's independence and security during the campaign time. She lays out a proposal which would make America much safer and put downward pressure on gas prices through competition, not to mention the authentic stimulus effect which generates rather than consumes income taxes. The time delay which is used as an excuse would have been over by now if our politicians had wanted to accomplish it for us. This aurgument has been used forever.
I am not the only one who is trying to express my frustration about the oblivious ones manipulated by a very basic, effective strategy.
This is why John Ziglar did the polling/documentary on the ignorance of the Obama voters and challenged his critics to pay for the same poll of McCain/Palin voters, saying that he would pay for it if the results showed that the Republican voters were equally ignorant. It is funny for people who really know about the political world which we live in, but serious because it points out the validity of - "The opinion of 10000 men is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject." Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor from 121-180 AD
The Alinsky Strategy was used against her, but I would think that properly presented, the tactics which were used could be used to expose and ridicule those who want power more than they want what is good for our country. I doubt that there were any Israeli flags hanging in ACORN's offices or the Chicago community organizing centers like there was in Governor Palin's office. She would have done better by Israel.
I would hope that the unorthodox Obama approach to mid-east peace which is based on hope and ignores the history of countries to predict their future actions is not the US being suckered into sacrificing Israel and finding out that we have lost a major ally through incompetent foreign policy decisions. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." is OK if the stakes are not too great. I just hope that there is a backup plan if the current policies go south.

THERE IS SOME HOPE FOR EUROPE AND THE UK

There are a lot of Americans who are sorry that we do not have Daniel Hannan MEP in America. California, one of the largest economies in the world if it were a separate country, is ready to go broke and at least one of our cities, Vallejo, has filed bankruptcy. It was very easy to manage the city when there was money to give very liberal retirement benefits and let the people suck their drug of choice from the public teat, but, as I believe Margaret Thatcher said, “Socialism works until you run out of other people’s money.”

The lemmings in America wanted to follow the European model until it gave them a clear picture of the future. Now, as with other people’s money, they want to continue on that path until they run out of their ability to remain in denial.

The Democrat Party is like a magician who creates an illusion using principals set forth in Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. They are the party of Destruction and were described in Ayan Rand’s book, Atlas Shrugged , “There is a destroyer loose in the country who is cutting down the buttresses one after another to let the structure collapse upon our heads. Some ruthless creature moved by some inconceivable purpose.” Rand was a Russian Immigrant to the US in the ‘20s and her book describes our business/political world today. It should be used to educate people in how the world works. I would be open to other books of an opposing view used concurrently so that we develop a thinking rather than a lemming/dependent society. The course could be taught by reading the books and analyze our country and the world relative to how we see the story in the real world.

The Party of Destruction is so sure of itself that they ridicule Republicans for saying that Colin Powell does not belong in the Republican Party. Laura Ingram wrote several years ago that he was not good for the Republican Party – this is not new. He dealt a serious blow to the election of John McCain when he strategically endorsed Obama for president. Normally, a person doing that would feel embarrassed to bold facedly say that he was still a member of the party he helped defeat, but the magicians can create enough lemming pressure to make it look like a problem if the Republicans do not allow him to remain. Absurd, but true so far. The one good thing which was not sufficiently pointed out was that the lemming chant, "Bush lied, people died." was denied by Powell in that endorsement interview. It is hard to hold the propagandists accountable.

THEY WHO DO NOT LEARN FROM HISTORY ARE CONDEMNED TO REPEAT IT

European elections are going the other way. Daniel Hannan on YouTube is shown several times admonishing our country to not follow in the UK footsteps and end up like them. The Vallejo city bankruptcy and California's financial problems point to our lack of attention to reality.

WHO IS APOLOGIZING NOW?

I saw this cartoon in the Press Telegram, but it has IBD (Investors Business Daily), which is one of the best newspapers available for productive people on the cartoon.
How hard would it be to give speeches which point out the great accomplishments by Americans to benefit the world. The 5000 Year Leap points out that America has contributed more during its existance to the world than had been accompished in 5000 years.

America has helped to keep the world free including more Muslims than all of the Muslim countries combined. Clinton's US commitment in Bosnia was defending Muslims from Christians. We don't discriminate when it comes to people who need help. I resent the blood and treasure which our people have paid being discounted by someone who wants to play the Great Saviour. I can see that he could benefit our country by playing to his Muslimness, but not by looking weak to a culture that is intolerant of the weak. I hope that what seems obvious to me is not true - that the counties committed to the destruction of Israel will play our country to their benefit.

As a kid, I knew who Audey Murphy, the actual WWII hero who portrayed himself in To Hell and Back was and I was greatful for my country and the soldiers who served it. I wonder how many people know who Curtis Luttrel, the lone survivor of Operation Redwing, or the 19 men who lost their lives trying to rescue the four man seal team were. The four man team let a couple of Afghanis go instead of taking them out to insure their safety and 150 Taliban came afer the team. How many people know about the good deeds and help that our soldiers do for the people in the countries where they are. That is a part of our strategy which doesn't work for the Michael Moore, moveon.org and Code Pink portrayals of our country's fight against TERRORISTS. There are instead grandstanding congress people and moveon.org's, ad "General Betray Us" looking good to the mooreons while they tried to belittle the man who turned the defeat which they had claimed into a victory in Iraq.

“It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds.” -- Samuel Adams

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

IS CHANGE MAKING AMERICA UNTRUSTWORTHY

We have had two major places where change scares me:
1. Business law circumvented through intimidation
2. Dishonored agreements between nations to favor nations with a history of and commitment to violence.

1. Senior Chrysler bondholders were villified by Obama and their representatives were prevented from keeping their identity secret except to the bankruptcy court. This exposed them to intimidation incited by the president's villification. The bond investors are little people as shown in the Associated Press article

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5g3iCudvEHr_SFxASOkt7S4vyuzqwD98KPOE03
"On Friday, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected an appeal from a trio of Indiana state pension and construction funds trying to block Chrysler's deal to sell most of its assets to Italy's Fiat Group SpA. The court, however, kept the deal on hold until Monday to allow an appeal to the Supreme Court.

The Indiana State Police Pension Fund, the Indiana Teacher's Retirement Fund and the state's Major Moves Construction Fund claim the deal unfairly favors the interests of the company's unsecured stakeholders ahead of those of secured debtholders such as themselves."

Effectively changing the priority under the business law retroactively and using intimidation to the detriment of investors creates a third world environment for people who were responsible and made a decision to provide for their future. This cut them out of their position and they were forced into a larger loss than they would have without the "at the President's pleasure" manipulations. The three large unsecured institutional investors are TARP recipients and who knows what their actual outcome is when their relationship with the politicians and their receipt is taken into account. The UAW will receive major payback under the changes.

2. Israel had letters of understanding exchanged with the United States in 2004 and subsequently endorsed by a resolution by congress that a long term understanding that any final peace agreement would allow Israel to retain some of the close in settlements in exchange for land from within the Israeli border.

Can investors judge their risk and invest to provide for their future without fear of the game being changed to favor another group of junior investors or ????
Can America be trusted? Saul Alinsky said that the end justifys the means and this implementation of those ideas is why some of us thought that Sarah Palin would have been better in diplomacy than Obama .

Changing the priority of the bond investors and ignoring an understanding on the OSLO agreement per Krauthamer raises the question. Is the new American mantra,

"Penalize success to reward failure."

Israel has a successful economy with opportunities for the people. They have a good tourist trade. Hamas ruins Gaza and keeps it in chaos. Why would we give aid without conditions?

DOES OBAMA REALLY WANT PEACE WITH MUSLIMS?

We know what a person or country is commited to by its actions and the Muslim extremists in the Palestinian situation don’t seem to work as hard at peace as the Israelis. What is the tourist count, educational level and opportunities, GDP of each side? The political situation in Gaza involves the TORTURE and execution of Abbas FATAH members. Is Obama favoring the Palestinian’s who had phonebanks supporting him during the campaign over the Israelis who provide opportunities to peaceful Muslims as well as all others in Israel? It is bad enough to experiment with US car companies and banks using ideas that have previously failed, but Israel's existance as an example of what can be done in spite of the fact that they don't have huge amounts of oil should be protected and emulated, not put on the executioner's block as part of an experiment in a previously unsolved problem.

If we truly wanted to improve the life of the Muslim people, we would not support HEZBOLLAH and HAMAS over their Israeli neighbor if we were committed to improving the little people's lot. The problem with liberals is that they put everything together so that they can justify their actions. A prime example of this is the California illegal immigration issue. I have been told that illegal immigration is no more serious than a traffic ticket. I work beside illegal aliens on occaision and on more than one occaision I would trade 10 lazy, whining American white boys (not all American white boys fit this description, but we do have some in this country) for one hard working illegal immigrant with a great work ethic and be absolutely sure that I had the best side of the deal. This group is slandered by the fact that California is going broke with a prison population which includes about 33% illegal immigrant criminals and there are illegal immigrants using the public money to the detriment of the host. Our state would not be in the mess it is in with public entities claiming that they are not properly funded if we paid attention to our laws and pared the parasites off of the host. This is far from the only problem, but it would be a very large step in the right direction.

I am listening to Atlas Shrugged and there is a dissertation by Francisco in the last portion of chapter 2 on the true meaning, value and utility of money and the fact that a society's demise is registered by the looters taking it from the productive people. At the end of the dissertation he is challenged by a LaLaLander who he admonishes that, "I had no idea." will not be an excuse after the destruction of the society. We cannot take care of others if we do not properly take care of ourselves and ignoring the Communist Party tables, the frozen liquid in bottles thrown at people, inciting riots and the violent rushing of speakers on immigration talks has prolonged our descent into the morass which we are in now. We need to take each segment of an issue, define it, develop a plan and work the plan, not so we feel better, but so we do better. We need society, not our team to win. The parties will not exist if the country does not survive.

A good friend of mine told me that Democrats fall in love and Republicans fall in line. I suggest that we develop a viable plan and fall in line so that we can exist to stay in love rather than kill our great country as we stay in denial.

Remember what the Democrats preach, "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism."

Also pay attention to, "The opinion of 10000 men is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject." Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor from 121-180 AD and do more than listen to the sources which reinforce your desired opinion. Doing more of what doesn't work, doesn't work.

Do we, as Americans, want to support the torture and killing of Palestinians by HAMAS and defend them against the Israelis? Check out a Palestinian singer talking about the people America supports:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWPL5V5G528

and then ask yourself how proud we should feel in light of how we talk about values and morals.

Also take a look at the following Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals after our forefather's quotes and judge what you hear in light of its validity and purpose. If you are being manipulated, do you have the wisdom to look at it?

“A primary object should be the education of our youth in the science of government in a republic. What species of knowledge can be equally important? And what duty more pressing than communicating it to those who are to be the future guardians of the liberties of the country?” George Washington
“It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds.” -- Samuel Adams
“How strangely will the Tools of a Tyrant pervert the plain Meaning of Words!” -- Samuel Adams
The previous three quotes are amazingly appropriate for our current condition after the 2006 presidential election which was heavily influenced by the 1960s creations of people like William Ayers in education and Saul Alinski. Following are Saul Alinski’s rules from Rules for Radicals in creating change. He believed that th end justified the means and his rules were used by the liberal groups such as ACORN.
RULE 1: "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have." Power is derived from 2 main sources - money and people. "Have-Nots" must build power from flesh and blood. (These are two things of which there is a plentiful supply. Government and corporations always have a difficult time appealing to people, and usually do so almost exclusively with economic arguments.)
RULE 2: "Never go outside the expertise of your people." It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. (Organizations under attack wonder why radicals don't address the "real" issues. This is why. They avoid things with which they have no knowledge.)
RULE 3: "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy." Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)
RULE 4: "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules." If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity's very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)
RULE 5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." There is no defense. It's irrational. It's infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)
RULE 6: "A good tactic is one your people enjoy." They'll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They're doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones. (Radical activists, in this sense, are no different that any other human being. We all avoid "un-fun" activities, and but we revel at and enjoy the ones that work and bring results.)
RULE 7: "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag." Don't become old news. (Even radical activists get bored. So to keep them excited and involved, organizers are constantly coming up with new tactics.)
RULE 8: "Keep the pressure on. Never let up." Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)
RULE 9: "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself." Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. (Perception is reality. Large organizations always prepare a worst-case scenario, something that may be furthest from the activists' minds. The upshot is that the organization will expend enormous time and energy, creating in its own collective mind the direst of conclusions. The possibilities can easily poison the mind and result in demoralization.)
RULE 10: "If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive." Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. (Unions used this tactic. Peaceful [albeit loud] demonstrations during the heyday of unions in the early to mid-20th Century incurred management's wrath, often in the form of violence that eventually brought public sympathy to their side.)
RULE 11: "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative." Never let the enemy score points because you're caught without a solution to the problem. (Old saw: If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Activist organizations have an agenda, and their strategy is to hold a place at the table, to be given a forum to wield their power. So, they have to have a compromise solution.)
RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

Do we have any of this strategy implemented in our current world? Does it maintain our freedom or take it away?
